About Kinzo

Intimate edomae style sushi experience at Frisco

Kinzo is a japanese in Frisco, Texas. It is listed at 14111 King Rd #2200, Frisco, TX 75036, which places it among the local businesses of Frisco that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Google also lists it under bar, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.

Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Frisco, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across Texas run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. On most of those days it is open 5–10 pm. It is closed on Monday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Kinzo at (214) 784-5785; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, kinzosushi.com.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.8 out of 5 from 380 reviews, which is a strong result for a japanese in Frisco and suggests consistent service.

Frisco is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Frisco is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Excellent 14-course omakase. The fish was very fresh, the rice was perfectly seasoned, and every course was well prepared. The overall flow of the meal was great, and the dessert was a perfect finish. Highly recommended.

Great looking spot and even better tasting Omakase! Sam and chef Jin were so accommodating to my wife and I and our infant daughter. The food was excellent! Will be back.

We visited Kinzo for lunch over the weekend and were immediately impressed by the dΓ©cor, which transported us straight back to Tokyo. The drinks were phenomenal and the lychee martini was honestly the best one I’ve ever had in my life. The sushi was incredibly flavorful and every piece was expertly done. Service was quick, friendly, and refreshingly non-intrusive which is always such a nice touch. They also surprised us with a complimentary dessert for our special occasion, which was really sweet of them. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend this place!

Fresh and delicious omakase. Had a very pleasant lunch at this place, seems like people here truely take pride in their work - from the care with which the chef holds his knife to how delicately the plates are being put (and taken away afterwards) in front of you without invading into your personal space, from the design of the main area to the cleanness of the powder rooms, and of course the taste and quality of the sushi. Thank you all for making my day more beautiful in every regard

On Sunday night, we decided to finally try Kinzo after a friend recommended it, and we’re so glad we did. The place is small and intimate, with a sushi bar in the center where you can watch the chefs prepare everything right in front of you, so I definitely recommend making a reservation. We sat at the sushi bar and ordered the mini omakase (10 courses), and every dish was amazing … fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. There wasn’t a single plate we didn’t enjoy. We also met the owner, Chef Leo, who was very friendly and passionate about his sushi. He explained how carefully he selects his ingredients, even the rice, and it really shows in the flavor. You don’t even need soy sauce because everything is already perfectly seasoned. The space is warm, modern, and very clean. This will definitely be one of our go to sushi spots from now on. Highly recommend.
